Luxaire: Meet the New
Middle Class
Now is the time for homeowners to cash in on a federal program that provides tax credits for installing a high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.
They feature up to 10 percent of the installed cost of HVAC improvements or up to a total of $500 for residential HVAC projects installed through Dec. 31, 2011. All Luxaire 33-inch condensing furnace models exceed the minimum 95 percent AFUE requirements for these tax credits. For split-system air conditioners and heat pumps, the expansion of the Luxaire LX series and Acclimateâ„¢ series provides more models at higher efficiency levels than ever before.
The following residential HVAC
equipment qualifies for the tax credits:
- A natural gas, propane or oil furnace rated
at 95 percent annual fuel utilization
efficiency (AFUE) or higher.
- Any furnace equipped with an advanced
main air circulating fan that uses no more
than 2 percent of the total furnace energy use.
- A central air conditioner that achieves
the highest efficiency tier established by
the Consortium for Energy Efficiency
(CEE) as of Jan. 1, 2009 (16 seasonal
energy efficiency ratio [SEER] or higher,
13 EER or higher rating).
- An electric air source heat pump that
achieves the highest efficiency tier
established by the Consortium for Energy
Efficiency as of Jan. 1, 2009 (15 SEER or
higher, 12.5 EER or higher, 8.5 heating
seasonal performance factor [HSPF]
or higher rating).
Pictured are the TCJF series air conditioner paired with the TM9X 95.5% AFUE single stage furnace with constant torque, ECM motor. These can provide a match for all qualifications to maximize a homeowner's tax credit.
Additionally there are many more products for every comfort need, including the LP9C Modulating furnace that just won the Best Buy in the Premium furnace category by Consumer Digest.
