Famous Becomes a Leading Edge Company and Takes Another Step from Good to GREAT !
The Leading Edge Awards Program identifies mid-market companies creating great value for themselves and for the Northeast Ohio region. They gather data from them relevant to economic development, publicize the data in the aggregate for the benefit of the region at large, honor the top performing companies and then creates programs, services and events that will continue to nurture and support these high performing businesses. The Entrepreneurs EDGE reviewed over 1,000 middle market companies and honored 101 of them from Northeast Ohio at the Leading EDGE Awards program on May 16th. This first-time event, held at the University of Akron, was attended by 500 individuals representing winning companies, event sponsors and their invited guests.
The Entrepreneurs EDGE is planning a year-long celebration for those honored at the Leading EDGE Awards allowing these business executives to learn from the best practices of others, make connections that will enhance their business, and address specific concerns that will enable them to enhance their growth. Famous was chosen as one of the 101, Leading Edge companies, out of thousands of nominations.

Silver Circle Award
JF Good is once again the proud recipient of the prestigious Spirax/Sarco Silver Circle Award. This award was presented to JF Good Co. in recognition of our efforts in substantially exceeding our sales forecast and for excellence in partnering with Spirax/Sarco field engineers in the promotion, sales and support of Spirax/Sarco products and systems. Accepting the award on behalf of JF Good was Bill Persuitte, Director of Industrial Sales. The Award was presented by Nigel Sewell of Spirax/Sarco. JF Good is proud to be a member of a very select group of distributors eligible for such acclaim.
Famous Wins a Prestigious Award !
As you may recall Affiliated Distributors (A.D.) is the buying/marketing group that we belong to.
In Orlando, Florida in April, Famous won the Top Growth Award in the Plumbing Division again! Famous Supply has also been selected to host the annual HVAC Affiliated Distributors Meeting on May 17-19, 2006. Approximately 150 people will be attending the three-day event. Half of the attendees will be suppliers and the others are distributors from around the country. There will be several meetings and round table discussions, with dinner on Thursday at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
On Friday, members (distributor affiliates) will be visiting our Distribution Center. In fact we have arranged for Hal Becker to speak on Customer service on the bus ride to the CDC. Once at the CDC there will be a presentation by our management group and a question and answer session, after a tour of the CDC. We are excited and honored, to have been chosen to host such a special national industry event!
