32. Show An Attitude Of Gratitude.

Recognizing people doing things right is more effective than pointing out when they do things wrong. Focus on people’s strengths and regularly extend meaningful acknowledgement and appreciation – in all directions throughout our company.

Lisa's Message:

Gratitude may be one of the most overlooked tools that we all have access to every day. More often than not, we only hear when people do things wrong that we can forget what the power that positive reinforcement has on people.

Remember, everything we do in our business is a team effort. We must always recognize that the end result of any successful business transaction is the culmination of the efforts of many people that worked together. We should remember every day to be thankful for everyone’s efforts that resulted in the customer receiving the desired outcome that we committed to providing them. We should be grateful to everyone at Famous:

  • The IT department that makes sure all of our technology is working
  • Associates who answer the phones and appropriately transfer calls
  • The pricing team that makes sure the system is up to date with accurate information
  • Product specialists that give our customers the information they need
  • The purchasing group that ensures that the product that you need is where it needs to be when it needs to be there
  • Sales associates that see customers to build relationships and establish trust
  • Warehouse associates that pick and pack the orders
  • Drivers that deliver the product
  • Counter and inside associates who take care of our customers who visit our branches and/or call us
  • The accounting and credit department that make sure all of the accounts are posted properly
  • The HR department that hires the very best to work at Famous
  • All of the other individuals who do their part so we can serve our customers

Showing your appreciation for others creates an incredibly positive environment that people are drawn to. Positivity is infectious and creates excitement as well as motivation. Cultivating gratitude doesn’t cost any money and it doesn’t take much time or effort, but the benefits are enormous.

Think about who at Famous Supply helped you accomplish what you needed in your day and reach out to those people and be thankful for their help and let them know the impact of their efforts had on you and more importantly, our customer.

The benefits of practicing gratitude are endless. Thank YOU for all that you do in a day!
